"A Race Through Dark Places" is an episode from the second season of the science-fiction television series "Babylon 5".

ynopsis

Psi-cop Bester returns to Babylon 5 to investigate an underground railroad of rogue telepaths. His return sparks tension and suspicion among the crew, as an underground railroad of rogue telepaths would need an insider to help them.

Meanwhile, Sheridan protests Earthgov charging him rent for his large quarters. Delenn wants to know what it is like to be human so she asks Sheridan to dinner to talk about life outside of diplomatic matters such as trade agreements.

Arc significance

* Talia Winters begins to question her allegiance to the Psi Corps.
* Talia's relationship with Susan Ivanova begins to warm.
* Talia's comment, "The Corps is Mother, the Corps is Father," will later be the name of an episode. It also becomes an unofficial mantra for the Psi Corps.

Notes

* At the end of the episode, when Talia comes to Susan's apartments with a bottle of champagne, one can see on the wall behind Talia soviet poster "Пролетарской столице - образцовый транспорт. МЕТРОполитен". Read as "Proletarskoy stolitse - obraztsovy transport. METROpoliten", which means "To proletarian capital - exemplary transport. The underground".
