A plantpot is any container (such as a
pot ) in whichplant s are cultivated.Terra cotta is often used to make plantpots (often flowerpots) but they are also often made fromplastic ,wood , stone, or sometimesbiodegradable material. An example of biodegradable pots are the so-called "Jiffy " pots. Sometimes there is a smallhole in the bottom, which takes excesswater away to aplate that is placed under the plantpot.
