Hilario Ascasubi (
1807 -1875 ) was an Argentinepoet .Ascasubi was born in the back of a horse drawn cart, in the actually site of
Bell Ville city, while his mother was on her way to a wedding inBuenos Aires . In1821 , he boarded a ship heading toFrance . The ship was hijacked and diverted toLisbon . He escapeed, and went to France, where he lived for two years. In the 1820s, he joined the military and foughtBrazil . He then fought in theArgentine civil war , after which he lived inexile inMontevideo , where he wrote poetry and ran a bakery shop. In1843 , he published "El gaucho Jacinto Cielo con doce números", and in1846 he publishedPaulino Lucero .He Died in Buenos Aires of an intestinal problem in november, 17
