Central Midlands League Supreme Division

The Central Midlands Football League Supreme Division is the highest tier of the Central Midlands Football League, and ranks amongst the 11th tier of the English football league system. It was established in 1983 and is currently sponsored by Buckingham Insurance. From the years 1984 until 1986, the league was known simply as the Central Midlands League, with no "Supreme" in its title.
Promotion which is dependent on financial and ground status from the division means going into the NCEL Division One or the East Midlands Counties, the higher league decided by geographical location. Relegation results in going into the CML Premier Division. Unlike the Premier Division, the Supreme Division is part of the National League System, lying on the 7th tier. Teams are eligible to participate in the FA Vase. A representative side from the league plays in the FA NLS Cup each season.
