A 6'5" (1.96 m) guard fromKansas State University , Jones was never drafted by aNational Basketball Association team but did manage to play in 11 games for theMinnesota Timberwolves in 1994.Jones is the third-leading scorer in Kansas State history. His scoring prowess was demonstrated on
March 24 ,1994 , when he scored 62 points againstFresno State University in the 1994 NIT Quarterfinals, the second-highest postseason scoring total in college basketball history. The 14three-point field goal s scored by Jones in that game are also a postseason record.
