"Shakespeare Quarterly" is an academic journal founded in 1950 by the [http://www.shakespeareassociation.org/Shakespeare Association of America] . It is now under the auspices of the [http://www.folger.edu Folger Shakespeare Library] . Along with book and performance criticism, "Shakespeare Quarterly" incorporates scholarly research and essays on Shakespeare and the age in which he worked. It also includes a special section devoted to the latest ideas in Shakespeare scholarship. As a companion to the "Quarterly", the Folger Library also publishes the award-winning reference [http://www.worldshakesbib.org/ World Shakespeare Bibliography Online] , which contains more than 114,231 annotated bibliographical references and several hundred thousand reviews. The editor of "Shakespeare Quarterly" is Dr. Gail Kern Paster, director of the Folger Library. The World Shakespeare Bibliography Online is edited by Dr. James L. Harner of Texas A&M University.

The journal is published seasonally. Circulation is 3,239 and the average length of an issue is 128 pages.
