History

WIN TV, also known as World Indian Network Television was originally expected to launch in September 2006, but it faced several delays after a dispute with the Hindu Credit Union Group over the rights holder to the broadcast license. The High Court dismissed the HCU's claims in April, 2007.

Programming

WIN TV features a large percentage of Trinidad and Tobago local oriented programming such as E-Magazine, Chefs Of The Caribbean and Maticoor Night. However, some viewers are turned away by the sometimes lack of a consistant level of professionalism on the channel. It also includes comedy shows, cooking programmes, home decorating tips, lifestyle choices and women's issues. Additionally, the station has forged links with international distribution agencies to share and carry content in the North American and Indian markets. There are a range of programs after the news eg. Medical Matters, The War Room, The Ladies Room and The Bollywood Countdown

News and Current Affairs

WIN TV carries a full hour of news at noon called Midday Live, and a two-hour major newscast at 6.00pm which includes a call in program called "Conservations With The Nation". After which the 7.00 pm news broadcast called "The Power Hour" This is supplemented by hourly news bulletins throughout the day.
