"Choosers of the Slain" (2006) is a military fiction thriller novel by John Ringo. It is the 3rd book in the "Paladin of Shadows" series. The adventures of Mike Harmon as the "Kildar" (lord over the Keldara) continue when he is tasked by a senior US Senator with rescuing the daughter of a powerful political contributor after she is kidnapped and forced into the Eastern European sex trade. The girl's trail leads the Kildar and his militia of Keldara through many seedy places, going deeper and deeper into the Eastern European sex trade, with evidence eventually leading to political figures in Washington, D.C. as well as many other first world countries.

The name is also used by a 1996 naval warfare novel by James Cobb, featuring his lead character of several books, Amanda Lee Garrett.
