Edwin Arturo Congo Murillo, Congo (born 7 October 1976 in Bogotá), is a Colombian football player, in the striker position. Currently a free agent, he bases his game in inexhaustive physical display.

Club career

After impressive performances with Once Caldas, Congo was snapped by "La Liga" giants Real Madrid in 1999. However, he would not register one single league appearance during his sole season in the capital (2002-03), while also serving loans to Real Valladolid, Vitória Sport Clube and Toulouse FC.

His most steady period abroad was lived at Levante UD (two promotions, with 8 goals in 2003-04), while he also netted 11 goals in 2006-07 for Sporting de Gijón.

In 2007-08, Congo had an uneventful stint with Recreativo de Huelva, being released at the end of the season.

International career

A Colombian international, Congo represented the nation at the 1999 and 2004 Copa América tournaments.
