Alfred Pfaff (born 16 July 1926 in Frankfurt am Main) is a former German football player and World Cup winner with West Germany in 1954.

Life

Pfaff was capped seven times between 1953 and 1956 for the West German national team, scoring two goals.

The highlight of his career was winning the World cup in 1954 in Switzerland. Pfaff had an appearance in the preliminary round against Hungary (3:8) and scored in the 26th minute a goal.

His club was Eintracht Frankfurt with whom he won the 1959 German Championship, and in 1960 reached the finals of Champion's Cup against Real Madrid. "Don Alfredo" was the head of the team.

Besides his sports career, Pfaff was an innkeeper and had a bar near the Hauptwache in Frankfurt. Since the 1960s, he lives as a barkeeper and hotel keeper in Zittenfelden in Morretal, Odenwald.
