Surrey Senior Cup

Surrey Senior Cup

The Surrey Senior Cup is the County Senior Cup of the Surrey FA. The competition was introduced in 1882, at the same time as the Surrey FA voted to affiliate to The Football Association. The first winners of the Surrey Senior Cup were Reigate Priory who were victorious six times before the end of the century. Other successful teams in the early days were Guys Hospital, Weybridge, West Croydon and Townley Park. Dulwich Hamlet first won in 1904 - 05 and hold the record with sixteen victories, Sutton United have thirteen and Woking ten.

The current holders of the cup are Merstham, who beat Whyteleafe 3-2 (aet) in the final, played at Metropolitan Police F.C.'s ground in East Molesey.
