Anna Dolidze

Anna Dolidze (Lang-ka|ანა დოლიძე) is a Georgian democracy activist. Currently, Dolidze is Albert Podell Global Fellow at the New York University Law School [http://www.nyulawglobal.org/fellowsscholars/grf0708dolidze.htm] Previously, Anna Dolidze was hosted as a Visiting Fellow at the Harriman Institute of the Columbia University [http://harrimaninstitute.org] Till 2007 Dolidze was a Chair of an influential Georgian non-governmental organization, the Georgian Young Lawyers' Association [http://www.gyla.ge] She has contributed to the work of a number of important organizations such as the Georgia Media Council [http://mediacouncil.ge/geo/] , the Stakeholders Committee of the Millennium Challenge Georgia Fund [http://www.mcg.ge/] , and the Human Rights Monitoring Council of the Penitentiary and Detention Places. Dolidze has graduated with a law degree from Tbilisi State University [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tbilisi_State_University] and has completed extensive studies in Europe, including receiving a Master's degree in Public International Law at Leiden University in the Netherlands [http://leidenuniv.nl] In addition to her activities with the GYLA, Dolidze speaks in the Western world about the current situation in Georgia [http://www.soros.org/initiatives/cep/events/georgia_20050825] .
