Jefferson High School is a public high school in Alexandria, Minnesota. It is a 10th-12th Grade school. Generally considered to be an outdated (and rapidly deteriorating) building, several referendums to fund the construction of a replacement school have failed. The former principal was Joseph Hill, who resigned following the 2006-2007 school year, with Chad Duwenhoegger being chosen as his successor.
Additionally, JHS has "Out-houses" or temporary classrooms separate from the main building that were built in the 1970s meant to last 10 years, however they are still in use. The main building was built in 1957 and has gone through several remodelings in 1963, 1978, 1979, and the most recent in 1993.
