Background
Clark graduated from Screenwise, Australia's leading film and television school for actors in Sydney.
Described as "one of the most exciting new Australian talents" by acclaimed producer David Parker, Clark brings a rare combination of animal magnetism and versatility to the screen that has established him as a true rising star in the leading man ranks. Clark's charismatic and brooding presence, intelligent performances, and sensitivity on screen have earned him comparisons with luminaries from Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis and Kevin Costner to Michael Weatherly and Eric Dane.
After studying with various acting schools in Sydney and New York, Clark landed his first major regular gig on the long-running and worldwide-syndicated Australian TV show Neighbours, playing the mysterious heartthrob Will Griggs. Bringing his strong commitment and keen insight to the character, Clark's role instantly struck a huge chord with audiences. Casting director Jan Russ called Clark a 'star' and added, 'he is not only that but also a very charming and caring young man.'
Clark's soaring profile and proven versatility saw him offered major roles in films including Gabriel with director Shane Abbess, who said, 'Christian obviously has the looks and charisma. But there's a sensitivity and willingness to go the distance that makes the difference.' Similarly, director Kelly Dolen described Clark as 'a director's dream' while working together on Gates of Hell. Clark followed these with thriller features Prey with Natalie Bassingthwaite and Crush with Chris Egan and Emma Lung.
With an expansive interest in the movie industry and a genuine passion for films, Clark also ensures he makes time to continue producing and writing between acting role, most recently co-producing the hit comedy feature Squid while starring alongside Josh Lawson and Ed Kavalee.
He also continues to work on his craft on TV shows, including award-winning False Witness, Rescue: Special Ops, Home and Away, and various short films and pilots.
Clark is a former personal trainer and successful international model. He models in many commercials.
Clark also appeared alongside Bec Cartwright in her music video of On the Borderline.
