Sweden 'sClaes-Göran Hederström with "Det Börjar Verka Kärlek, Banne Mej " and precedingFrance 'sIsabelle Aubret with "La Source"). At the close of voting, it had received 1 point, placing 16th (equal last) in a field of 17.The song is a love ballad, with Hautala singing to her lover that time goes too quickly when they are together and expressing the desire for this not to be the case.
It was succeeded as Finnish representative at the 1969 Contest, by
Jarkko & Laura with "Kuin Silloin Ennen ".
