Brian Rowsom (born
October 23 ,1965 inLong Branch, New Jersey ) is a retired American professionalbasketball player who was selected by theIndiana Pacers in the 2nd round (34th overall) of the1987 NBA Draft . A 6'10" forward from theUniversity of North Carolina at Wilmington , Rowsom played in 3 NBA seasons from 1987 to 1990. He played for the Pacers andCharlotte Hornets .In his NBA career, Rowsom played in 82 games and scored a total of 457 points. On December 2, 1989 as a member for the Hornets, he scored a career-high 20 points against the
San Antonio Spurs . Afterwards, he played internationally in Israel, Japan, and England.Rowsom received Honorable Mention as an All-American, and was named as a First-Team member of the All-Colonial Athletic Association along with such players as David Robinson,
Johnny Newman andBlue Edwards .His coaching experience includes stints in the Ontario Pro Basketball Association and the American Basketball Association.He was named ABA coach of the year in 2005 and signed as commentator for
Mid Atlantic Sports Network forcollege basketball games for the 2007-2008 season. Rowsom will be paired with play-by-play announcers Sam Gore andPatrick Johnson .
