The South Evian Gulf (Greek: Νότιος Ευβοϊκός Κόλπος "Voreios Evvoïkos Kolpos"), also the South Evvian Gulf or the South Euboean Gulf is a gulf that connects with the
Petalies Gulf near Agia Marina and to the west. The total length is approximately 50 km long and is approximately 10 to 20 km wide. It stretches from the narrowEuripus strait, which connects it to theNorth Euboean Gulf , down to thePetalies Gulf to the north. It runs nearly diagonally from southeast to northwest. An island located to the southeast namedKavaliani is an island located by the Petalies Gulf and forms the boundary with the rest of the gulf and Almyropotamos to the east, more islets lies within the eastern portion og Eretria and there are five of them.The mountains dominate the southwest and the northeast except for the Asopos valley to the southwest. Ferry routes linking Skala Oropou and Eretria and parts of the line with Agia Marina and Panagia lies in this gulf. Numerous beaches and ports surround the guld in numerous places except for Dilessi.
