- Triple accreditation
Triple Accreditation is a term meaning that a
business school has been accredited by the three largest Business school ranking associations. Each association assesses different aspects of a business school. For instance AMBA looks specifically at the MBA, whereas EQUIS looks at all aspects of management training and development, whether undergraduate or postgraduate focused. Generally speaking the AACSB accreditation takes the most wide-ranging view of a particular institution, whereas the other two look more specifically at particular aspects of the teaching curriculum, with AMBA being the most narrow in terms of its scope:*
AACSB - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
*AMBA - The Association of MBAs
*EQUIS - European Quality Improvement SystemOf the 3900
business schools , only 35 have triple accreditation, putting those schools who do have triple acreditation in the 99.2percentile when ranked by how many accreditations they have.MBA Ranking
Whilst the AMBA accreditation is the most specific regarding the MBA program, Triple accreditation can be used by many as an alternative, and more reliable, method for reviewing the quality of
Business School s andMBA programs, as the overall quality of the institution itself is rigorously assessed, as opposed to merely aspects of its curriculum. However, it is worth pointing out that because the EQUIS accerditation is not open to all business schools, a number of very high quality (in particular North Ameican) schools are conspicuous by their absence.Members
