She is the first otokoyaku of her class to reach the top.

Troupe History

*1992-2004 Flower Troupe
*2004- Moon Troupe

General Information

When she was 3, she had a car accident (or hit by a car) and tore the Achilles tendon. The doctor suggested certain exercise were necessary for recovery. So her mother took her to ballet lesson.

Her stage name, Jun Sena, is a contribution to her parents: "Sena" comes from Ayrton Senna, her father's favourite formula one racing driver. "Jun" comes from Jun Ariake, a former vice troupe leader of Moon Troupe whom her mother went to high school with.

She is one of the promising young stars that were promoted by the company in 1999 (along with Sumire Haruno, the former top star for Flower Troupe and Hikaru Asami, the former top star for Snow Troupe). Before she was promoted to top star, she was considered as one of top-stars-in-waiting along with Kei Takashiro, the former top star for Cosmos Troupe, Kei Aran, the current top star for Star Troupe, Natsuki Mizu, the current top star for Snow Troupe, and Yūga Yamato, the current top star of Cosmo Troupe.

In 2001, she had her first leading show, "Manon" at the Bow Hall (with Kanami Ayano, her current top star partner). With the resignation of Aika Mire and Takumi Hibiki's brief period as top star, she had got into the nuclear cast member for Flower Troupe. When Sumire Haruno became the top star of Flower Troupe in 2003, she became the second man for Haruno.

She got her greatest applause for two roles in 2003: one is Luigi Lucheni from Flower Troupe's production of "Elizabeth" and the other is Sydney Carton from "A Tale of Two Cities"

In 2004, Kei Takashiro (then with Snow Troupe) and she were invited into the cast of Moon's production of "The Glow of Sunset in Asuka", which they and Yūhi Ōzora played respectively the roles Nakatomi no Kamatari, Prince Karu, and Soga no Ishikawamaro in the play ( [http://www.takarazuka-revue.net/takawiki/tiki-index.php?page=The+Glow+of+Sunset+in+Asuka+%28Moon+2004%29 detail] ). From that time on, she was unofficially transferred to Moon Troupe, even though she was still officially considered a member of Flower Troupe.

With the resignation of Nao Ayaki in 2005, she became the top star of Moon Troupe with Kanami Ayano by performing in "Ernest in Love". Their top star début at the Grand Theater was "Jazzy Fairy".

Cool Dude as well as Elegant Lady

She is famous for her portrayal of a series of strong male characters like Luigi Lucheni, Sydney Carton and Jack Worthing. However, she also received praise for her portrayal of Scarlett O'Hara in the Flower-Senka production of "Gone with the Wind" in 2002 and Elizabeth of Bavaria in the Moon production of "Elizabeth" in 2005.

Although an otokoyaku usually has a deep voice, she is one of the few who can sing in both the male role and the female role without any difficulties.
