Mascot

The South Kitsap School Mascot is Roscoe D. Wolf, a cartoonish mascot whose true identity is intended to be kept a secret from the rest of the school. His appearance has changed throughout the past few years, most recently to include a very large butt. He is present at most football and basketball games.

Essentially, the mascot of South are the wolves, but Roscoe acts as the leader of the pack. The wolf is a pack oriented animal that represents South Kitsap's uniqueness in sticking together. The only strength of a wolf is in a pack of wolves, therefore the 'wolves' of South Kitsap rally behind their lead wolf/wolfess.

There is also Grandfather Wolf, a several decade old stuffed wolf on a wheeled cart. Despite his tail that has a habit of falling off and overall general tattered appearance, he makes appearances at almost every pep rally, and students are asked to stand as he enters the room.
