- Gregory Pence
Gregory E. Pence is a
professor in the department ofPhilosophy at theUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham . He is an expert in the field ofMedical Ethics and has written several books and has testified before theUnited States Congress and the California Senate about cloning and reproductive ethics.He graduated
cum laude with a B.S. fromWilliam and Mary and aPh.D. fromNew York University , writing under visiting Australian bioethicistPeter Singer . Professor Pence also directs UAB's competitive Early Medical School Acceptance Progam and has taught ethics for thirty years at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. In 2006, Samford University awarded him a Pellegrino Medal for achievement in medical ethics.Books
