University of Kansas from 1946 to 1947. Although he only coached two years, he compiled a 15-3-2 (.786) record. He attended theUniversity of Nebraska where he played halfback. He coached at theUniversity of New Hampshire from 1937 to 1942. He is also aWorld War II veteran , having obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He also coached at Navy, and Baylor. He went on to become Baylor'sathletic director . He was inducted into theCollege Football Hall of Fame in 1954.George Sauer was the father of
