Sharon Horgan is an Irish writer, actress and comedy performer.
Sharon began her comedy career when she won a BBC New Comedy award with her writing partner
Dennis Kelly . She has written and appeared in shows such as "The Pilot Show " and the first series of "The Friday Night Project " while her acting credits include "Absolute Power", "Broken News " and "Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive ". She appeared in the feature film "Imagine Me and You ", and provided a voice in the animated film "Valiant ". She has written for many comedy shows, including the acclaimed animated sketch show "Monkey Dust ". Sharon's own BBC comedy show, "Pulling ", which she co-wrote with "Dennis Kelly " was first broadcast in 2006 and was nominated for the BAFTA for Best Sitcom. "Angelo's ", a six-part sitcom written by and starring Horgan, was broadcast on Five in late 2007. The second series of Pulling aired on BBC3 in March 2008. Horgan also writes an occasional column for "The Guardian ".Sharon is the sister of Ireland rugby international
Shane Horgan . As of 2007, she lives inLondon and is married to Jeremy Rainbird MD of London based creative agency Addiction. They have a 4 year old daughter and are expecting a second daughter in June 2008.External links
