Queensland ,Australia , on theD'Aguilar Highway 72 km north-west ofBrisbane and 24km west ofCaboolture . Its Local Government Area is theMoreton Bay Regional Council . The town is noted for its folk festival that takes place over the New Year holidays. TheWoodford Correctional Centre is on the outskirts of town.Woodford is the terminus for the disused Kilcoy branch railway line, which extended from
Caboolture toKilcoy . Between Caboolture (where it branches from theNorth Coast railway line, Queensland ) and Wamuran, the tracks and corridor are mostly still in place. Beyond Wamuran, the railway was removed after its closure in the mid 1960s, and much of the land has been sold.Woodford is also one of the filming locations from the movie "Undead".
