Joe Cheng began his career with the Catwalk modeling agency. His acting career began when he starred in the Taiwanese series "The Rose" with the famous Taiwanese girl pop group
S.H.E. in 2003. The following year, he took main leads in two other Taiwanese series, "Nine Ball" and "Magic Ring".His most famous starring role to date has been in "It Started With a Kiss", a 2005 Taiwanese series adapted from the Japanese manga "
