Past_members =Ken Andrews Greg Edwards Paul D'Amour Chris Pitman "Replicants" was a four-piece band, consisting of
Ken Andrews ,Paul D'Amour ,Greg Edwards , andChris Pitman , which has apparently been on hiatus since 1996. This is highly unlikely though, as each member has kept busy with other projects and bands. The group has only released one album, a self-titled cover album, in 1995. The band's name comes from the verb 'To replicate', or 'To copy', making fun of the band's status as "a tribute band" [cite web

Some months after Paul D'Amour left Tool, where he played the role as the
bass player , he joinedChris Pitman , a keyboardist, and Failure membersKen Andrews andGreg Edwards . The four decided to restrict their work to covering songs by famous bands active in the 70's and the 80's. Numerous file-sharing groups exchange bootleg songs apparently performed by Replicants, although "said" files are merely used for spreading viruses and Trojans. Related band Tool often speaks out against file-sharing networks, labelling them as "harmful". Tool frontmanMaynard James Keenan gives vocals during "Silly Love Songs", a track from the album [cite web

During the months of 1996, the band decided to follow different paths. Ken went on to perform as a solo artist, while Chris, Greg, and Paul joined Brad Laner to form Medicine, although the three have now moved on to other projects [cite web
