"Library Trends" is an academic journal founded in 1952. It examines international developments and future directions in the fields of library and information science. It includes analysis of research and writing, critical opinion, and reviews. Each issue is devoted to a single topic of interest. The editor is Dr. F. W. Lancaster of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The journal is published quarterly in August, November, February, and May. The average length of an issue is 200 pages.
