Nevada in theUnited States .He built Las Vegas' first enclosed mall, the
Boulevard Mall ; first majorhospital ,Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center ; first high-risecondominium , Regency Towers; the area's first master-planned community,Paradise Palms ; and the firsthigh-rise office building in Las Vegas, the 17-story Bank of America Plaza; and the state's first hospice, The Nathan Adelson Hospice.Molasky was a founder and served as an Officer of the Board of Directors of
Lorimar Productions , a conglomerate oftelevision ,broadcasting , and print companies.Lorimar Productions was founded by Merv Adelson, Irwin Molasky, and Lee Rich, who named the company after Adelson's ex-wife Lori, and their last initials (M for Molasky, A for Adelson, R for Rich).Irwin Molasky was a key figure in the development of the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas through a donation of 45 prime acres of land at Flamingo Road and Maryland Parkway, as well as being the Founding Chairman of the UNLV Foundation. He also participated in locatingMcCarran International Airport at its current site and assisted with the land purchase for theLas Vegas Convention Center .
