Charles Lennox Cumming Bruce

Charles Lennox Cumming Bruce (20th February 1790 - 1st January 1875 [ [http://www.angeltowns.com/town/peerage/ecommons2.htm List of members for Elgin & Nairnshire] ] ) was a Scottish Conservative politician. He was the second son of Sir Alexander Penrose Cumming-Gordon, 1st Baronet, and in 1820 married Mary-Elizabeth Bruce, the only daughter of James Bruce"Oliver & Boyd's new Edinburgh almanac and national repository for the year 1850". He served as the Member of Parliament for the Inverness Burghs constituency from 1831 to 1837 - being re-elected in 1834 with a majority of only four votes [ [http://www.alba.org.uk/westminster/smallest1832.html Smallest majorities at Westminster] ] , and for Elginshire and Nairnshire from 1840 to 1868.
