Tupolev Tu-110

__NOTOC__The Tupolev Tu-110 (NATO reporting name: Cooker) was a prototype Soviet airliner, a four-engined version of the Tu-104 powered by Lyulka AL-5 turbojets rated at 5,500 kgf (53.9 kN; 12,100 lbf) thrust each, two engines on each wing. It was first flown in March 1957.Only 3 where built but none ordered by Aeroflot nor any other airline and they later served as Air Force flying testbeds. This aircraft was intended for export due to the limited export sales of the
Tu-104, Tupolev thought a four-engined plane would be easier to sell due to ETOPS regulation. This aircraft was also fitted with drogue parachutes and use of it could shorten the landing run up to 400 meters.
