'William 'Bill' Corbett' is a
musician ,magazine editor , DJ andphotographer who lives inLondon ,England .Corbett was one of the founding members of
The Apostles , ananarcho-punk band that formed inHackney in 1979. He published manyanarchist diatribes andfanzines in the early 1980s, such as "Precautions essentiales pour la bonne" and "Luz y Fuerza", and promoted gigs forCrass ,Zounds ,The Mob ,Rudimentary Peni ,Flux Of Pink Indians , Primal Chaos andHagar the Womb . Also he was the key-holder for theWapping Autonomy Centre from 1981 to 1982. He studied art andphotography atChelsea College of Art from 1982 till 1984, when he dropped out and formed Savage Eden with Julian Portinari (ex Apostle) andSeamus Brady (Crux and ex-IRA H-Block resident). The band were hounded by authorities until their demise in 1987, when Corbett and Portinari formedPallor with Ben Bethell and Dan Macintyre (another ex-Apostle) The band released onealbum , "Four More Cunts on the Road To Nowhere" but a UK tour had to be cancelled after the band were barred from the first four venues on the tour for inciting the crowds to riot.fact|date=May 2008 He was often guest sessionguitarist for bandsThe Cannibals andThe Creepshow .He was married in July 1987 to Bodil Magdalena Hortlund. The same year he appeared in two of
film director Alex Chandon 'shorror film s, "Bad Karma" and "Drillbit", both of which won several awards. In 1990 Corbett became a DJ at the Londonnightclub Spoon, and from 1992–2004 travelled the world under the name DJ Bill Dup, playing at theFull Moon Party inKo Pha Ngan ,Thailand . In 1999 he released thealbum "Dusted Down" and played at theMinistry of Sound , Cream,Renaissance and Filthy Society. fashion industry . In August 2006 his portrait ofBella Freud appeared in "Harpers Bazaar ". He is currently working on a new album for release in 2008, provisionally entitled 'Sunset Moonrise'. He is not a member of the Colony Room or Gerry's clubs, but has photographed extensively in both, releasing a book; "Gerry-Go-Round" in April 2007.References
