Shahed Ali

Shahed Ali (1925), is a renowned Bangladeshi author. He was born in Sunamganj, Sylhet of Bengal (now in Bangladesh).

Life

Shahed Ali was a journalist, professor. Was the editor of `Sabuj Pata’, a magazine for children. He worked for ‘Islamic Academy, Dhaka’.

A Language Fighter

He was an editor of ‘Soinik’, the magazine of ‘Tamuddun Majlish’. Tamuddun Majlish was a very famous society working for Bangla as the state language of Pakistan in the 1950s.

Works

Shahed Ali is one of the leading short story writer of Bangladesh. Humanism is found in his writing.

He was an Islam minded writer.

His literary works were included in the curriculum of school level, secondary, higher secondary and graduation level Bengali Literature in Bangladesh.
