The mission of the school is "Striving for excellence in all endeavours in a happy, caring, and supportive envronment". It was ranked within the top 10 schools in Australia in 2002.
The school has a reputation on the Central Coast for excellent HSC and IB results and is also the only school in the area to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB)as an alternative.

The school was founded by a group of local people in
1984 , most of which became parents at the school and later created the P&F (Parents and Friends) Association.The first school assembly took place at Avoca Beach Theatre in
1985 , and was later moved to its present location at Erina Heights. The annual student of the year award is held each year in the grand hall, and is awarded to a recipient for their excellence in both academic and sporting achievements. It is undergoing renovations in the infants block and other areas of the school. Its annual event is the Spring Fair on the 1st of September. The Grammar School has an array of co-curricular activities such as Mock Trial, Orchestra, Debating, Mediation and Public Speaking among others.The houses are;
Future
The Headmaster is Richard Lornie. He has announced his retirement and his last year is to be 2008. The school is in the process of finding a new Headmaster/Headmistress for 2009.
The school is currently building new facilities including a synthetic hockey turf, athletics feild and there are more projects to be undertaken within the following years.
