Graham Haberfield (
17 November 1941 –18 October 1975 ) was a northern actor. Born inChesterfield , the son of a railway porter, he was educated at Herbett Strutt Grammar School,Belper . Later, he joined theBristol Old Vic Theatre , from where he graduated in 1962.The same year, at the age of 20, he joined the cast of "
Coronation Street " asJerry Booth , a character who appeared between 1962–1964, 1965–1968 and 1971–1975. His sporadic appearances allowed him to try other work and avoid being typecast. He did varied stage and television work, but is best remembered as Jerry Booth and as Winston, the die-hardManchester City fan in the hitGranada Television sitcom "The Dustbinmen ".udden death

18 October 1975 , a month before his 34th birthday, Graham Haberfield died from heart failure caused by a liver condition while still on the cast of Coronation Street. He made two episodes that were shown posthumously. Granada offered to edit out his scenes but his widow, Valerie, insisted they be retained as a tribute.Television Roles
