Overview of Brahma Temple
This Brahma temple is in Tirupattur, a place around 30km from Trichy. Its a very small temple and did not look anything special until seen and heard. The temple is very similar to any other temple with a sanctorum for God, Goddess, other associated Gods/God men Dhwajasthambam and a pond. 4 things most important in the temple:
* The main idol of Shiva Linga is lit naturally from sunlight even after 7 praharas or corridors (thanks to priest that demonstrated switching all lights) - amazing to know how they constructed. On top of this, 3 days every year, sun's rays directly fall on to the idol -not sure how but truly amazing!
* The huge idol of Brahma with full of tejas - very beautiful
* The umbrella made of rudhraksha for nandhi. It looked really grand and special
* The jeeva samathi of the yoga founder Patanjali within the templeKailasanathar Temple
This is again 1 km (½ mile) from Brammapuriswarar Temple, situated on the bank of a big pond known as Bramma Theertham. This temple contains the Samadhi of sage Vyagrapadha.
