Millicent Travis Lane (née Travis) (born
23 September 1934 ) is an American-Canadian poet.She was born in San Antonio,
Texas , she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree fromVassar College , and Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees fromCornell University .She was married to Lauriat Lane Jr. (d. 2005), Professor Emeritus of English at the
University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. The couple emigrated to Canada in 1960 and in 1973 attained Canadian citizenship. They had one daughter and one son.Lane lives in Fredericton,
