Tennis balls pummeled the court, which were thrown by Vandy fans. In the previous week, a Florida student beat up another student with a tennis racket. It had been all over the news that week. The Vandy fans, knowing they had the game won, threw several of tennis balls. The referees called a technical foul on the fans. The Florida player nailed his free throws and the it was over. Vandy lost the game.
