Farida Diouri (born 1953) is a successful Moroccan novelist.
Biography
Diouri was born in
Larache (Morocco ), the daughter of the Spanish-Moroccan writer Driss Diouri. She has two children. She now lives inParis .Studied at the Institut espagnol and at the Institut francais. She graduated at the lycéeDescartes ofRabat and studied economics at the faculty of law ofRabat . She was journalist of l'Opinion, the second largest newspaper ofMorocco and after that chief editor of the magazine of the Union des Femmes "Aicha". Since 1993 she worked with an international, American hotel-enterprise and as correspondent of journals like "Echo touristique". She started to write at 40 and her first novel "Vivre dans la Dignité ou Mourir" was chosen for the Prix du Grand Atlas, organised by the French Ambassy in Morocco. Farida Diouri has given interviews in Morocco, France and Egypt (Al Haram).Novels
