Burlington College is a private liberal arts college located in Burlington, Vermont. The goals of the college are to engage the student body in activities promoting social and community involvement on a local and international scale, while also providing traditional university level education through their degree programs.

The college is also unique as it presents the opportunity for students pursuing degrees not traditionally offered by typical universities to specifically tailor their own degree through an individualized major program.

The university offers students study abroad options within the European Union, and in 2008 Burlington College became be one of the few universities in the United States to gain approval to offer a study abroad program in Havana, Cuba in conjunction with the University of Havana. Burlington College is also is host to the "Institute for Civic Engagement." The Institute holds discussions, debates, and lectures on issues that impact the local, state, national, and international community as a whole. A Vermont state representative leads the Institute.

In 2006, Burlington College announced the largest expansion and development program in the history of the college. Plans include an expansion of the Main Campus in Burlington's Old North End district, while also expanding current degree programs and offering post-graduate degree options. The college is participating in the Green Schools Project which focuses on energy efficiency, environmentally sound principles, and sustainability.
