Vasna Borsad INA is a town and an industrial notified area in Anand district in the Indian state of Gujarat.

As of 2001 India census, [GR|India] Vasna Borsad INA had a population of 338. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Vasna Borsad INA has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 63%, and female literacy is 49%. In Vasna Borsad INA, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The population mainly survives on farming and agriculture, but in the last ten years a lot of families have migrated from this village to cities and overseas. Vasna has the most NRI families out of the chovis gam patidar samaj and is most probably the most developed of the twenty-four villages within the territory.

Darmaj is a short distance away and Borsad is extremely local. The village has got more town life surrounding it then most other small villages nearby.

Vasna has recently had proper sewage methods put in place as well as having the most reliable mains power supply for a village. Other chovis gam territories don't have solid paving, even to this date, but Vasna, due to its overseas NRI population amounts have had funding in place to provide this facility throughout the main parts of the village. The village is extremely clean compared to neighbouring villages and towns due to its people understanding the value of maintaining a cleaner environment around themselves.

In the centre of the village there is a big house around 3 stories high, with a great Krishna Statue on top of it, and this house can be seen from any rooftop with Vasna. This house was constructed in the late 60's early 70's by a successful businessman NRI in Uganda called Mr. Ashabhai Lallubhai Patel. The house is currently left closed for long periods but opened every now and then for cleaning when family descendants come to visit. The name of the house was Shree Mani Nivas, but due to complications the name was changed.

There are many new houses being built in Vasna currently, but rumour has it that this house mentioned in the above was one of kind of its time and many people from all over came to admire the construction methods used.

Mr. Patel and his family finally reached London and have been there since 1973, and just like India and Uganda, he made his name apparent within Chovis Gam UK.

There are many other families within Vasna that are currently based in USA and Europe that have been very successful in their own rights and have had a big hand in regenerating the condition of the village in india to make it the way it is now. Another notable name is Pravinchandra Chotabhai Patel (who is also based in in UK). Mr. P.C.Patel is a very well respected businessman based in Wembley, London. He has developed his name in many different communities and is a well established Indian in a very western country.

The tiger cricket club is also well knowed community for cricket lovers. It arranges day night tornament every year. The people co-operative bank gives best support to all villagers for study abroad .=References=
