In Vadalur, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age .Now vadalur has grown to be one of the notable towns in South Arcod Districts...It is the major POC connecting National highways between Chennai-Kumbakonam-Tanjavur and Cuddalore-Salem-Bangalore.Vadalur has its impact of Lignite Mine effects of its adjacent city Neyveli. Huge carbon deposits and powerful blast for lignite mining operation(by the nearby Neyveli Lignite Corporation ) is the only polluting factors of VADALUR otherwise a peaceful town.
