* Sedam is famous for Shahabad stones which are used for construction. Lot of quarries around Sedam mine these stones for sale (both uncut and polished).
* Two cement factories are present in this taluk, viz. M/S Vasavadatta Cements at Sedam and M/S Rajashree Cements at Malkhed.
*It is also a largest producers and famous for Toor and Toordal (Togari and Togaribele).sedam is a place where u can get the quarries which is unused.once upon a time it was very popular due to the loss in the cci cement factory it was closed.

* Malkhed: Known as Manyakheta in ancient period, Malkhed (in Sedam Taluk) on the banks of Kagini River was the capital of Rashtrakutas from (818- 982).
