Rajula is a city and a municipality in Amreli district in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Geography

Rajula is located at coord|21.05|N|71.43|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/9/Rajula.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Rajula] ] . It has an average elevation of 41 metres (134 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Rajula had a population of 32,393. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Rajula has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 55%. In Rajula, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The temple of Lord Shiva, which is situated 3 miles away from Rajula is very beautiful. its is assumed to be established by Bhim (one of the character from Mahabharata).

Rajula is situated on the national highway No. 8 E. This highway connects Bhavnagar with Somnath.

Economy

The city is well known for its stone mines, the stone and its products is exported to many places in the country. Its economy mainly depends on the agriculture, crops such as groundnut, cotton, and onion is popular among the farmers.
