Vincenzo Esposito

Vincenzo Esposito (born March 1 1969 in Caserta, Campania) is an Italian professional basketball player. In the United States, he is best known for being the very first player signed by the Toronto Raptors, where he averaged 3.9 points in 9.4 mins per game in the 30 games he played. He is 194 cm (6'4") tall and plays as a shooting guard.

In Italy,he played for Juvecaserta Basket (1984-1993, won the Italian League in 1991 and Italian Cup in 1988, played in the Euroleague final in 1989), Filodoro Bologna (1993-1995), Scavolini Pesaro (1996-1997), Mabo Pistoia (1997-1998), Andrea Costa Imola (1998-2001, 2002-2003, 2004-2005) where he was for 3 times the Italian League top scorer and 2 times the Italian League MVP, Snaidero Udine (2001-2002), Lottomatica Roma (2004) and Upea Capo d'Orlando (2005-2006). After rescinding his contract with Upea Capo d'Orlando he played for the Serie B1 team Original Marines Gragnano.In the season 2007-2008 he played for the serie B1 team Gira Ozzano where he finished the season in the top 3 scorer of the B1 League .

In Europe, Esposito has been a mainstay on several international and Eurobasket teams.With the Italian National Team he played several games and the European Championship in 1995 in Greece where he was the best scorer of the team.In the Italian Basketball League he is the 4th All Time leading scorer.
