Showa Memorial Park

Showa Memorial Park

is a national government park in Akishima and Tachikawa, Tokyo, Japan.

It was established in 1983 as part of a project to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Emperor Hirohito (Or Emperor Shōwa).

Bicycles may be rented in the park, which has an 11 kilometer bike trail with parking areas at all locations. There is also an outdoor barbecue area.

In December the park has an illumination that features Christmas lighting. This park is not a public park in the sense that it is free. Users will pay a small fee to enter the park.

The park can be best accessed from Nishi-Tachikawa Station on the JR Ome line or about a 15 minute walk from JR's Tachikawa Station.
