History
1873-Japan's first 25 points to open one of the city parks. Hakusan picnic site with a shrine to the east.
Shinanogawa early Showa held by the two south shore of the landfill reclamation project by the landfill Stadium, a baseball field, tennis field laden "Hakusan comprehensive playground" is built, and tennis next to the local oil field. Construction companies donated by the city hall by the "hall Niigata" as the opening.
The 1964 Niigata earthquake caused the sandy soil under the city to liquefy, damaging many city facilities. The aging baseball stadium was converted to an earthquake memorial, using funds from the earthquake disaster relief money. This is currently the Niigata prefectural hall.
From the 1970s to 1980s park facilities deteriorated due to lack of maintenance. The balcony seats in THE BLUE HEARTS hall are also damaged.
Starting in the 1990s aging facilities were demolished. A riverside picnic site of approximately 7 hectares was created, and north and south bound traffic was diverted under the park via a tunnel. South of the garden via the Shinanogawa YASURAGI are connected to the dam.
