Bottenfield's best season came in 1999 with the Cardinals, when he posted a 18-7 won-loss record along with a 3.97 ERA. Bottenfield played in the All-Star game that year. He was subsequently traded along withAdam Kennedy to the Angels forJim Edmonds following this season, but was unable to duplicate this success.Post Baseball Career
After overcoming a near-fatal heart condition, Kent turned his attention to music. He has released two independent Christian albums "Take Me Back" (2004) and the newest release "Back In The Game" (2007). He currently resides in Tennessee with his family.
