Karawal Nagar (Hindi: करावल नगर, Urdu: کراول نگر) is a census town in North East district in the Indian state of Delhi.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Karawal Nagar had a population of 148,549. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Karawal Nagar has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 55%. In Karawal Nagar, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
