Kanuru is a census town in Krishna district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.It is suburb of Vijayawada and located just outside the city limits.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Kanuru had a population of 30,696. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Kanuru has an average literacy rate of 73%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 69%. In Kanuru, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
