Jhinjhak is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kanpur Dehat district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The town is situated on the banks of Ram Ganga canal. There are two major towns Jhinjhak and Rura in the Kanpur Dehat (rural) district and is connected by fast route of Howrah-Delhi railway line. It has primary and secondary schools, two government intermediate colleges and three Degree Colleges affiliated to Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur to provide both sciences and arts education. The nearby cities are Kanpur (60 km) towards the East and Etawah (40 km) towards the West. The district headquarter is nearly 35 km away at Akbarpur-Matiis a town and a nagar panchayat in Kanpur Dehat district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
